1st Stage: Disinfection
The used stainless steel instruments are immersed in a chemical sterilization bath in an ultrasonic cleaner for the required time. This step kills all possible germs/viruses so that the instruments are safe for us to handle and clean.
2nd Stage: Sterilization
After cleaning all instruments, they are placed in an autoclave for the required amount of time at the correct temperature. These settings are checked weekly with "spore tests" - Rapid Readout Boilogical Indicator - these check that all sterilization parameters are met.
AUTOCLAVE = HIGH PRESSURE STEAM STERILIZER.
